| One thousand people with the same family name, Chun (thousand), in three villages in Henan, China were asked to sit for one-minute photographs in front of the artist.
The thousand photographs were printed in Germany and brought back to the villages, where the participants were asked to write their name, age and place of birth on the surface of each photograph.
All one thousand of the collected photographs were carried by hand by a Chinese family with the name Chun via bus, train, and ship to Seoul, Korea, where all one thousand photographs were sent individually as postcards via post to the artist in Bremen. |
